Unlike their larger cousins, finesse swimbaits can be fished on standard tackle. Depending on the size of the head you choose they can be fishing on anything from a light spinning rod to a heavy jig rod. The concept is the same as throwing big swimbaits but you’re much more likely to get steady action throughout the day.

The key to small swimbaits is to match the size of baitfish in your lake. If you’re seeing the bass chase tiny minnows, don’t be afraid to drop down to a little 2.8 keitech.
